Important Update

For many Pride organisations across the country, funding is becoming harder and harder to secure each year — and sadly, West Lothian Pride is no exception.

While we are incredibly proud that we have been able to secure enough funding to deliver this year's Pride celebrations, the reality is that once this year's event is over, our remaining funds will be extremely low. At this moment in time, there is currently not enough funding available for us to confidently deliver a Pride event next year.

This is not something we ever wanted to say, but we believe in being open and honest with our community. West Lothian Pride has always been built by the community, for the community — and now we need your help to save Pride in West Lothian.

If you believe Pride matters, if you value having safe, visible and inclusive LGBTQ+ events in our area, please consider supporting us by visiting:

Our website has a number of different ways you can support us — from direct donations, joining our lottery, sponsorship opportunities, or even simply adding one extra step while shopping online to help raise funds for West Lothian Pride at no extra cost to yourself.

Local businesses can also support West Lothian Pride by advertising in our Pride Guide. This is a fantastic way to support your local Pride event while also promoting your business to our community. More information and registration details can be found on our website.

Every donation, share and show of support genuinely makes a difference.

Due to the financial situation we are currently facing, we have also had to make the incredibly difficult decision to cancel our planned Proudly You pop-up shop at Livingston Designer Outlet this year. This was not a decision we took lightly, but it became clear that stretching our already limited resources further would place too much pressure on the organisation this year.

We want to sincerely thank Livingston Designer Outlet for the support, kindness and encouragement they have shown us throughout the planning process. We truly hope this is something we can revisit together in the future when circumstances allow.

We also want to thank all of our sponsors and partners for supporting West Lothian Pride this year, especially Reconnect Theatres for allowing us to host our events in their amazing venues. Their continued support means so much to us and our community.

Our Pride Village will return to Reconnect Howden Park on 25th July 2026. We are also continuing to work closely with West Lothian Council regarding our Pride March and hope to provide a further update on this soon.

To everyone who continues to support West Lothian Pride — thank you. Your support means more than ever right now. Together, we can keep Pride alive in West Lothian.
