Getting To Pride

We want to help make sure that your West Lothian Pride day goes as smoothly as possible so we have provided below some information to help you get to Pride Parade starting point and to the Pride Village.

This year for the first time the Pride Parade is start at a different location to the Pride Village. We are recommending to attendees were possible to use public transport to the start location. 

🚆 By Train:

• From Edinburgh: Take the train to Livingston North or Livingston South stations. Both are a short taxi or bus ride to Scottish Institute of Theatre, Dance, Film & Television (Car Park).

• From Glasgow: Take the train to Livingston North station for the quickest route then a short taxi or bus ride to Scottish Institute of Theatre, Dance, Film & Television.

🚌 By Bus: The following bus go to The Centre, Livingston and the starting point is just a 15 minute walk away. 

31, 72, X27, X40, X51, N28, X28, 34A, 34B, MEGABUS 902, 9, 16, 74. 

The nearest bus stop is The Range which is serviced by the 72, 

We have tried to cover as many route as possible but please check before you ride as routes may change. 

🚗 By Car: If you are traveling by car please head for The Centre or Livingston Designer Outlet (EH54 6QX) and use parking in these locations or official local car parks. Please note you may need to walk or use public transport to get back to your car from Howden Centre. 

If you are not joining us for the Pride Parade but want to come to the pride village here are all the different routes to get to our Pride Village at Howden Park Centre:  

Pride Village opening times: 1pm-9pm (We ask attendees to please not be on site before this time)

🚆 By Train:
• From Edinburgh: Take the train to Livingston North or Livingston South stations. Both are a short taxi or bus ride to Howden Park Centre.
• From Glasgow: Take the train to Livingston North station for the quickest route.

🚌 By Bus:
• Numerous local bus services run to Livingston. Check your local schedules for the best route. With Howden East and St. Johns hospital being the closes stops. Services include 16, X27, N28, X28, 31, X40, 72 and 73. Then there is a short walk to Howden Park Centre. Please note if you get off at St. Johns there is a entrance to Howden Park directly from the Hospital. (Bus route are subject to change so check before you ride.)

🚗 By Car:
• From Edinburgh: Take the M8 westbound and exit at Junction 3A and follow signs for Howden then Howden Park Centre
• From Glasgow: Take the M8 eastbound and exit at Junction 3 and follow signs for Howden then Howden Park Centre
• The Main car park will be closed for the event so please use the overflow car park and local car parks. There will be limited bookable disabled parking on site. Please contact us if you need disabled parking.
